Makers Market is a curated weekend experience dedicated to established independent and emerging creatives with a distinct contemporary voice. We prioritise craftsmanship, originality and intentional production, bringing together creatives whose work reflects personal vision, material exploration and thoughtful process. As a bi-annual event, each edition is carefully composed to represent the diversity and energy of contemporary creative practice, with a focus on small-batch, original and independently produced work.
We believe objects carry cultural weight. A well-made piece reflects the hand and thinking of its maker. A limited-run work captures a moment in a creative journey. A collectable object becomes part of a personal archive over time. Makers Market was established to create a refined platform where independent creatives can present work with depth and intention, and where audiences can engage directly with contemporary making. Our focus is on perspective and longevity rather than trend or volume. We value objects that are made to be kept, lived with and returned to.

Makers Market was established to create a refined platform where independent creatives can present work with depth and intention, and where audiences can engage directly with contemporary making.
At the heart of each edition is a carefully selected group of established independent and emerging creatives. Some are developing their voice and expanding their practice. Others are established studios with a clear and recognisable point of view. What connects them is a commitment to independent production, strong creative identity and thoughtful making. By presenting emerging and established creatives together, Makers Market fosters dialogue across disciplines and stages of practice while maintaining a cohesive and elevated standard.
Makers Market presents contemporary creative work across disciplines, including jewellery, ceramics, textiles, object-making, art, small-batch goods and design-led homewares. Each piece is selected not only for its visual impact, but for the story, intention and creative process behind it. This is work shaped by people. Work that reflects individuality, skill and expression.

Makers Market is designed as an immersive weekend event that encourages thoughtful engagement with the creative and making process. Visitors are invited to connect directly with creatives, understand their process and discover work that resonates personally. It is a space where ideas are shared, practices are supported and contemporary creative culture is celebrated.
