Zaha Hadid Design (ZHD) was established in 2006 by the celebrated architect Zaha Hadid. Her vision was to push the boundaries of contemporary design by embracing the latest technological and material advances.

I have always appreciated those who dare to experiment with materials and proportions.

The company is now led by co-directors Woody Yao and Maha Kutay, both Associate Directors of Zaha Hadid Architects, who align with Hadid’s passion for forward focused, contemporary design.
As an architect and designer, Zaha Hadid’s work explored spatial concepts at all scales. When speaking of her work as a designer, Hadid explained: “My product designs and architecture have always been connected; some of our earliest projects were designs for products and interiors. These design pieces are very important to me and my team. They inspire our creativity by providing an opportunity to express our ideas through different scales and through different media; an essential part of our on-going design investigation.”
ZHD has collaborated with an impressive series of partner brands including Georg Jensen, Rosenthal and Louis Vuitton to create unique and timeless fashion, furniture and interior design objects, all pushing the boundaries of the material’s capability and pursuing the ambitious vision of the late founder and her team.
British-Iraqi architect, Zaha Hadid, is famous for her intensely futuristic designs characterised by fluid, curving facades, sharp angels and severe materials of concrete and steel. Her complex architectural style and success allowed her make waves in a staunchly male-dominated profession, earning countless awards and international esteem.
