Rex Kralj was founded by Niko Kralj in Slovenia in 1952 and has since become known for its significant contribution to 20th century industrial design. Krajl's work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and is also part of the collection of Design Museum Danmark in Copenhagen, among other high profile international exhibitions.

Today, Rex Kralj continues to produce a number of Niko Kralj's iconic mid century furniture designs while also collaborating with leading contemporary designers who channel its rich heritage for inspiration. Clean lines and elegant utility define the timeless modern furniture that the company produces.
