Norwegian for waterfall, the Vannfall Jug was released at the 2019 Oslo Design Fair. Mouth-blown glass creates a dynamic ripple that imitates running water even when the jug is not in use.
Kuramoto went into the design process without a set idea of what the final material would be. Prototypes for the jug were made by weaving hemp string around a steel wire skeleton, then lightly covering the form with plaster.
