L. Ercolani Canvas Tall Cabinet and Reprise Chair, designed by Norm Architects

Marking the 102-year anniversary of Ercol, the coveted British furniture maker has introduced a very special premium brand committed to timeless design. Good Form is proud to present L. Ercolani, a refined luxury brand inspired by the designs and vision of Ercol’s founder.

Drawing on Ercol’s rich design heritage and craftsmanship, L. Ercolani embodies the classic collection designed by Ercolani with new works from international designers that represent their past and future heritage. It reminds us once again how Ercol has remained at the cutting edge of design for over a century.

Today, Lucian Ercolani is fondly remembered for both his craft and his compelling personality — a magnetizing presence that imbues his formative designs with warmth and precision.

The Canvas Large Cabinet by Norm Architects combines natural materials and minimalist design for elegant, clutter-free storage. Featuring innovative sliding doors and optional fabric panels, it offers customizable style and seamless functionality.

Canvas Large Cabinet by Ercol, created with Norm Architects, celebrates natural materiality and calm geometry. Released in 2020, this refined storage piece keeps visual noise at bay. Sliding doors read as separate planes yet move as one, unified by a hidden handle within a wooden groove. For added softness, optional exterior fabric panels come in a curated palette of muted textiles.

Grounded in Ercol’s century of British craft, Canvas carries a legacy of honest design. It also reflects Norm Architects’ Copenhagen sensibility, the studio established in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, known for a holistic, human-centric approach. Together, they deliver a luxurious cabinet that brings order, warmth and timeless elegance to contemporary living.

Director, Henry Tadros, aims to build on his great-grandfathers legacy and forward-thinking spirit with a new collection of designers, united in their appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality and timeless design. “Much like Lucian always looked to the future, we too are looking to create a new collection, combining archival and original design.”

From Norm Architects and Lars B. Fjetland to Matthew Hilton and Tomoko Azumi, the new designs proudly uphold Ercol’s steady focus on quality, engrained with the family's intrinsic understanding of wood.

At the heart of L. Ercolani is the time honoured furniture making techniques – wedge and tenon joints, steam bending, dovetail joints – alongside state-of-the-art technology that has cemented Ercol’s highly celebrated legacy.

Good Form is proud to continue honouring the past and future heritage of Ercol with the development of L. Ercolani. The collections are available in store and online now.
