This elegant clock was designed by Finn Juhl as a part of the interior of the New York United Nation Trusteeship Council Chamber in 1950. It’s a stunning offering that perfectly captures the essence of Juhl’s design aesthetic. The circular shape complementing the natural qualities of the teak or stained ash wood and the numberless aluminum dial captures his flair for clever minimalism.
Today, Finn Juhl’s United Nations Clock is handmade under licence in Denmark by Architectmade.

The Designer /
Finn Juhl
Finn Juhl is one of Denmark’s most famous architects, known for his bold, sculptural forms and ultra-refined detailing. Juhl initially wanted to become an art historian and follow his passion for fine arts. His father, however, wouldn't allow a career in the arts and directed Juhl to enrol in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Architecture in Copenhagen in 1930.
