New Zealand artist Donald Peebles is regarded as a pioneer of abstract art in New Zealand, with works held in the collections of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki and Christchurch Art Gallery.
