'Von' Bench – Ercol
'Von' Bench – Ercol
Maker: Ercol | UK
Designer: Hlynur V. Atlason | Iceland
The VON Bench is an integral part of the VON collection by New York-based design firm Hlynur Atlason. It has been crafted to give off the warm, natural feeling of home – perfect for use in a commercial or residential environment. The inspiration for this range comes from the classic 427 chair designed by Ercol’s founder Lucian Ercolani in 1956.
This highly anticipated range is available in several contemporary fabrics, leathers and finishes. VON is designed to bring comfort, warmth and a natural pallet to places that traditionally lack in this sensibility without compromising any of the functionality that we have come to expect from furniture used in a contract setting.

Made by Ercol
Ercol was founded in England in 1920 by a young Italian, Lucian Ercolani. His simple goal was to make furniture that was well designed and made in a good working environment by craftsmen who took real pride in their jobs. Today, Ercol remains a family owned company committed to protecting and sharing its highly celebrated legacy.
Designed by Hlynur V. Atlason
Hlynur V. Atlason started his NYC design practice in 2004 and was described as a “young designer to look out for” according to Wallpaper Magazine.
Atlason has collaborated with a number of significant international brands including MoMa and Xbox. The latest collection, Von, for Ercol, is derived from an interpretation of the Ercol 'Originals' 427 Chair, from the back catalogue of the legacy brand.
