Originally designed in 1985 for London's Groucho Club, Tokyo Stool was launched at the Milan Furniture Fair the same year. The elegant frame and narrow stance of the rear legs creates a light rhythm and clean aesthetic.

The Maker /
OMK 1965
OMK was founded by Rodney Kinsman in 1965 after graduating from the Central School of Art in London. Kinsman’s goal was to usher in a new era of modern British design. The company quickly became a key figure in the High-Tech design movement and produced many of the most successful furniture ranges that retailed through Terence Conran’s Habitat stores in the 60s and 70s.

Rodney Kinsman
Rodney Kinsman graduated from the Central School of Art in London in 1965 with a goal to usher in a new era of modern British design. In 1966 Rodney founded OMK to produce the progressive designs he intended to create. The company quickly became a key figure in the High-Tech design movement and produced many of the highly successful furniture ranges retailed through Terence Conran’s Habitat stores in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
