The ‘Rex’ Bench Seat with its lightness of form combined with impressive strength and durability was a much-loved staple in socialist-era schools throughout Slovenia in the mid-20th century. The design features a utilitarian elegance and functionality that is rarely matched.

Today the Rex bench seat is just as coveted in the modern home. It is perfect at the end of a bed or in the lounge. The fluid folding mechanism allows it to compact away quickly if extra space is needed. Another brilliant example of why Kralj’s work is included in prominent design museums around the world.
