Mahsa Willis featured in Homestyle Magazine

Mahsa Willis has been a friend and supporter of our store for a while now. She designs everyday clothing for creative modern women under her fashion label 'Mahsa'. We've loved seeing the label develop and even get some of her beautiful clothing for ourselves.

We've delivered furniture to Mahsa's amazing mid-century home before. It's nestled in native bush in Titirangi and much like the clothing Mahsa designs, it's tailored yet relaxed, elegant and timeless. Mahsa has filled the house with amazing art, mid century design and contemporary modern furniture.

When the latest copy of Homestyle magazine arrived at our door we were exited to see a feature article on Mahsa. We've selected a couple of pics from the article but it's definitely worth a read in full so make sure you pick up the latest edition.

I like juxtaposition, I find the house poetic and rustic so adding modernist pieces makes it ‘sit up’ and adds to the enduring atmosphere.
— Mahsa Willis

Mahsa has a keen eye for modern and contemporary furniture and design. The impressive extending dining table is a classic mid-century Scandinavian design. It works perfectly with the large Gidon Bing vase from our store and the vintage ercol dining chair.

For the lounge Mahsa has selected sofa's and coffee tables that fit with the aesthetic of the home but will age well and have a timeless beauty. Her coffee table is a design classic from Japanese American sculptor Isamu Noguchi.
