Good Form selected by Tomi Williams for latest interior design project

We were thrilled to see Homestyle magazine feature interior designer Tomi Williams’ latest project on their front cover. Tomi has been a long time supporter of our store and we’re always impressed with the stunning interiors she creates through her company Indigo Design. For this project Tomi has included modern furniture from Ercol and interior accessories by Gidon Bing.

Alice Lines, the editor of Homestyle, has done a brilliant job in highlighting the process Tomi used to create this elegant modern interior in an historic Auckland Villa. The brief was to embrace the clients Indian culture with an industrial edge. They also wanted to utilise colours that reflected their heritage and avoid living in a white box.

Tomi Williams was involved from the resource-consent stage and ensured that the new layout of the home had a spacial flow from front to back. The interior design included dramatically changing the floor-plan to create an open plan kitchen that flowed into a contemporary dining and living area.

Colour plays a significant role in this home interior. Tomi started by researching modern Indian interiors and fashion, which highlighted the strong use of blue and terracotta. We've selected a couple of pics from the article but it's definitely worth a read in full so make sure you pick up the latest edition of Homestyle.
